More of The Boy!

We've been having fun adjusting to life with our little boy. Here are a few shots of what he's been up to. I'm warning you this is a long post. But it must be long because I feel it's my duty to share this cuteness with the world.

I'll start with Christmas. Caleb was a shepherd in the annual family nativity story. He makes a fine shepherd, if I do say so myself. Joseph was exceptional this year, as you can tell by his face as he sits on the Angel Gabriel's lap.

Grandma Y took all the grandkids to Build-A-Bear for Christmas. Caleb was going to be content with just a cute little black bear but, after further thought, decided his bear would like to be a Bronco's fan. Zack and I made t-shirts to help us feel more connected to our baby over the ocean in Ethiopia. Caleb is sporting the Giraffe version. I'll do another post about the t-shirts later.

Everyone needs a picture of their baby in a bath towel just after a bath. Our baby is cuter than all the other babies, though.

Caleb's starting to wear bigger clothes. He went from wearing 0-3 month clothing to 6-9 month clothing. We do, however, have to roll the pants up a bit. He may be 70% in his weight, but he's only 30% for his height. Zack says he's a teapot-- short and stout. I have to agree. Thanks to D'Nellie for what I think is my favorite outfit of his right now!

The puppies have adjusted well to having Caleb around. McKay likes his blankets and toys. Maxwell likes his face.

Both dogs like it when he throws the ball. Dad has to help, but I'm sure he'll be gripping a ball on his own soon.

Caleb likes to be on his back so I rigged up a "mobile" of sorts and attached it to the fan in our room. He LOVES it. Don't ask me why. It just hangs there. No lights. The toys don't even move.

I figured if he likes to look at toys dangling over his head then he must have a real mobile. We got one over the weekend and he thinks its the greatest thing since sliced bread. At least I think that's what he thinks. He didn't actually say those words, but I'm pretty sure that's what he would say if he could talk.

He's sitting in a high chair now. He hasn't a clue what to do if I stick food in his mouth, so right now it's his reading chair.

Zack thinks he'll be walking before he crawls. Who needs crawling anyway?

And lastly, here are a few shots of his cheeks...er, face. I seriously don't know how I get anything done, what with all the cheek kissing that must go on at my house. It must.

Here's a pensive face. Staring at a toy.

Then the toy moves!
LOVE his eyes.
...and his cheeks.
"Must that camera be in my face ALL day?"Yes. Yes it must.

Thank you! Those cheeks! I love those cheeks. I am not sure how you get anything done either. I would just want to kiss and play and tickle and love him!

D'Nell, Sharlene, you are welcome anytime to come and eat his cheeks. There's plenty to spare. ;)

Angie, he's a great reader already. His favorites are "Animals", "Goodnight Moon" and "The Runaway Bunny". He goes for the classics.

How do you get anything done with those cheeks in the house? He seriously is the cutest baby ever. I think he's cuter than my own kids were as babies (shhh...don't tell them I said that, although Vicki is pretty taken with him, too)
