Times Have Changed

Friday was my birthday. I don't really feel any older. In fact, I haven't felt older since I turned 25. Everything stays the same after 25....right?
I'm one of those people who never know what they want for Christmas or their birthday. Thank goodness my hubby knows. He did it perfect this year. I got books. Lots of books. And music. And a really cool tripod for my camera. My parents don't know what to get me, either. So they gave me money....aaand I bought books with it. And music. I don't feel my tastes have changed much over the years. Here you see a picture of what I got THIS year and what I got 20 years ago. I was nine. You do the math.

As you can see, I liked books (I still have that book), music (Herman's Hermits still Rock!...but not as much as the Beatles!) , games, clothes, puppies, sleepovers (that one's a lie. I hated sleepovers. But I liked sleeping bags.) and baby dolls. As I look at my life now I realize I'm still addicted to the same things. Books (duh), music (MoTab can outsing Herman any day), games, clothes (I only like getting clothes when my hubby goes with me. For some reason he thinks everything looks cute on me. If he's not there, I feel fat, ugly and wish the torture would end.), puppies (now I have a real puppy!), sleepovers (ahem...), and baby dolls (what I really want is Baby ALIVE!)

Happy birthday to meeeee!
