Seriously, this is literally the longest cold I've ever had in my life.
This is the cold that never ends. Yes it goes on and on my friend. Some little kid gave it to me, I don't know who it was, but he'll continue giving it to me forever just because....
Anyway, this blog isn't about my cold. It's about how my hubby has been taking care of me throughout the cold. Even when he's been feeling sick.
Here are two excellent examples of what he's done for me the past few weeks. (17 days and counting...)
He built me a cake.
I was at the stage of my sickness where my throat felt dry all the time. The only thing that made it feel better was if I was constantly swallowing something. But that something couldn't be all hard and salty like chips. It had to be soft and snacky...like a cake.
(Yes, this is how we eat cake at our house.)
He surprised me with Comfort after a long day at school.
I got home and found this waiting for me:
The instructions were for me to push start on the microwave (he had some honey/lemon drink ready to heat up), put on the comfy clothes, take a Comtrex and a cough drop, and watch T.V., play on the computer, or read the paper while I lounged on the couch and waited for him to come home.
He arrived 15 minutes later with movies and a pizza.
If this doesn't make me the luckiest girl around, I don't know what does.

I'm going to have to start a blog one of these days so I can tell you all about the sweet things Carrie does for ME. But since I don't have a blog, I'll just put one right here called;
Carrie Loves Me
First off, Carrie has been writing me a note every night. She knows that I am what I call a masochistic perfectionist (i.e., a perfectionist who is far from perfect, just to torture himself). She every night, no matter what terrible things I may have done throughout the day, she writes me a note to tell me about the "victories" I had during the day, or to tell me about how much she appreciated something I did. She is so thoughtful and selfless. A couple days ago she even made me cookies just because I made the comment that it looked good when I saw a cookie on a commercial. Does she stop there? Oh no, not even close. From big things (like forcing me to stay home from work and making me meals and taking care of me...even though she is sick!) to small things (like putting toothpaste on my toothbrush when she brushes her teeth or cleaning my dishes up for me or politely telling me that I probably shouldn't wear that shirt with those pants) she is an absolute sweetheart, and smart, and pretty.
And of course, arguably my favorite thing about her, she makes me laugh. A lot. She makes life fun :o)

Oh, how sweet. This post is a good reminder to do something sweet for my hubby.
He definitely loves you. All signs point toward yes.
It's a good thing Jodie doesn't have the internet, or else she'd be reading this blog all the time. Then all I'd get is "why can't you be like Zack?!" Soooo, ya, it's a good thing we don't have the internet at home.
That is incredible. I am happy you found such a great hubby!
Awwww...
Don't ever stop being so cute, you guys!
It is only fair to add that Zack is also capable of being quite a jerk. Carrie is just too kind to write about THOSE moments, so I'll follow her lead, but you should know that they exist.
Hey! Who's ratting me out? Don't blow it!
I can attest to what Anonymous is talking about. Sorry Zach, I've seen you do some nice things, but come on, let's be real here. You know you're lucky Carrie loves you so much. Even those wacko quirks of yours.
How did this turn into Zack bashing? Topped off by spelling my name wrong! Ouch. Well I'm not going down alone! There was that time that Carrie ... uh .... hmmmm ... No ... Okay but once she actually ... oh ... wait, that one was nice of her, too. Yep, I guess I have to be honest here, too. I am very lucky :o)
I'm so glad the policy of honesty is checking my blog regularly. ...and that he has so much time on his hands... :)
This has nothing whatsoever to do with how nice Zack is, but I'm listening to John Denver right now and had an "aha" moment with the song "Rhymes and Reasons". Your blog title suddenly has meaning for me! How cool are you? :)
Allie, you now know the secret of the blog. I'm a closet John Denver fan. Well, actually, it's not really a secret. Congrats on figuring it out. :)
